
RIM announces BlackBerry 9630 Tour
The specifications line up with what had been leaked earlier. The BlackBerry Tour is a world phone that comes with support for both CDMA and GSM-based bands - dual-band EV-DO Rev. A, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and single-band (2100MHz) UMTS/HSDPA. It comes with a 2.44-inch half VGA+ (480 by 360 at 245ppi) display, 256MB of Flash memory, a built-in QWERTY thumb keyboard, built-in GPS (with geo-tagging support), Bluetooth 2.0 (with A2DP), a 3.5mm headphone jack, a 3.2MP camera with auto-focus, an SDHC card slot supporting cards up to 16GB, and a 1400mAh battery. It measures 112 by 62 by 14.2 millimeters and weighs 130g.
The BlackBerry Tour will be available later this summer from a number of North American carriers (including TELUS, Bell Mobility, and Verizon).
